1915 (8 Dec) Red band cover from Urga (Type 7) to Peking (Type 7) with rare Mongolian censor in rose boxed cachet.

A faint boxed cachet on reverse with Mongolian characters in pink/red similar to the censorship marking of the interim period not previously recorded indicating that the cover might have passed through the hands of Mongolian authorities as well.

Cover received in Peking with clear strike of 3 January 1916 cds, being the third day of the Chinese Empire declared by Yuan Shekai, and the year index still used the Fifth Year (of the Republic) instead of the statutory First Year (of the Empire).
