1909 (October) registered red-stripe cover to Kalgan franked on reverse with strip of four of 1899 7k "KITAI" overprint tied by URGA MONGOLII ZAGR. P.K. datestamps (Type 6) with additional strikes alongside and on front, and KALGANSKAYA arrival on front (Type 3). The registered usage is quite rare, as are both markings, and Tchilinghirian lists no examples of this cancel on overprinted issues, even off cover.
